Affholder Construction is looking for an Electrical Technician to join our growing team. The Electrical Technician will Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems for heavy construction projects. Work and communicate with other technicians as a team to complete tasks on schedule and on budget.

Duties:

• Read blueprints or technical diagrams.
• Install and maintain control and power wiring and lighting systems.
• Inspect and troubleshoot electrical components, such as transformers, circuit breakers, motor starters, motor soft starters, variable frequency drives, relays, etc.
• Identify electrical problems using a variety of testing devices.
• Repair or replace wiring, equipment, components, and fixtures using hand tools and power tools.
• Direct workers for installation of electrical wiring or equipment.

Requirements:

• 5+ years electrical work experience
• Experience working with PLC systems.
• Experience working and troubleshooting variable frequency drives.
• Must be able to understand industrial electrical components such as motor starter systems and transformers.
• Understanding industrial communication protocols such as Ethernet, Profinet and IO-Link is a PLUS.
• Must be able to troubleshoot three-phase and single-phase motors.
• Must be able to troubleshoot control power circuits (120VAC, 24VDC).
