SAK Construction has an opportunity for a Safety Assistant to join our growing team in O'Fallon, MO. The Safety Assistant is responsible for providing support to the Safety Director and the Safety Administration Manager and assists in ensuring all federal, state, local and organizational safety requirements are met. Responsibilities:

• Enter training for all SAK subsidiaries in training system and in Excel spreadsheet.
• Generate various training reports (OSHA, forklift, traffic control, driving, etc. as assigned).
• Create various training completion certificates and email to the requesting project managers and save to server location.
• Manage confined space entry permits; ship to operations when requested and log completions in spreadsheet.
• Assist in identifying project emergency healthcare locations (weekly basis). Schedule post-accident drug and alcohol testing
• Provide administrative support to VP/Safety Director and Field Safety Managers, as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Must have effective communication skills to work with managers and crew members.
• Must be flexible and willing to accommodate changing training schedules.
• Must be willing to take advanced Excel courses (for sorting, filtering date with data slicers and report building.
• Previous administrative experience is a plus
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
