SAK Construction, LLC is one of the fastest growing pipeline rehabilitation and tunneling contractors in the U.S. We are actively seeking a Tunnel Surveyor that will manage and coordinate surveys and survey processes. This position will initially be assigned to St. Louis area projects, with potential for future assignments at other projects.

Responsibilities:

• Survey and maintain the PPS TBM Guidance System during the Tunneling process.
• Perform precision alignment control traverses above ground and in the tunnel.
• Transfer precision control from the surface to tunnel elevation.
• Perform GPS and TPS layout on various work sites.
• Oversee the installations of pipe, to line and grade, inside an excavated tunnel.
• Coordinate with project management, superintendents, TBM operators, Engineers, clients, and others concerned with project.
• Perform related project engineering and survey duties as a part of the tunnel management team.

Qualifications:

• Experience in surveying with the desire to enter a robust industry.  Previous tunnel experience desired but not a requirement.
• Experience with Leica instruments and/or Poltinger Precision Systems (PPS) guidance systems a plus.
• Experience as a surveyor or field engineer in heavy construction.  This position requires the surveyor to work in the tunnel.
• Ability to perform duties independently and as a team for a wide range of surveying tasks.
• Ability to travel
