Affholder Construction has an immediate opportunity for a Construction Manager to work on our tunnel project in Charleston, SC. Affholder is an industry leader in tunnel construction and provides the opportunity to work with some of the most talented and accomplished professionals in the industry.

Responsibilities:

• Help ensure all work is performed in accordance with safety policies and regulations to promote a safe working environment. 
• Perform pre-construction site videos prior to any work starting. 
• Coordination of subcontractors to facilitate successful project completion. This subcontractor management takes place before, during and after crews are on site. 
• Interpret, comprehend, and develop construction schedules. 
• Communicate with project management, operations teams, and owner/engineer. 
• Attend project meetings with the owner/engineer, when applicable.  
• Oversee and possibly self-perform general construction activities, including working underground, when applicable. 
• Complete daily reports and other owner-required documentation. 
• Submit written correspondence to owner/engineer. 

• 2+ years of general construction experience 
• Civil construction experience is preferred
• Experience working in a foreman or field supervisory role is preferred
• Travel and schedule flexibility may be needed based on operational needs.
