Description
The SAK Construction family is looking for a Helpdesk Specialist to support end users with their IT needs. This position is located in our corporate headquarters in O'Fallon, MO. A wide range of ability with installation, configuration, repair, maintenance, diagnostics and troubleshooting of computer hardware, peripheral equipment, software, and other electronics is desired. You should be a hands-on, team-oriented problem solver who has a passion for helping others.
Responsibilities:
- Manage support requests and questions directly from employees via ticketing system and/or phone calls.
- Perform first tier troubleshooting on all support requests, escalating requests to proper team as needed.
- See support requests through to their resolve with timely and thorough follow-up.
- Install, configure, upgrade, maintain, and troubleshoot technology including but not limited to: Windows PCs, mobile devices, printers, peripherals, and network connectivity in an enterprise environment.
- Investigate user/system security concerns as assigned by supervisor.
- Maintain documentation for processes, procedures, and user accessible FAQs.
- Monitor and maintain system OS and software patch compliance.
- Provide orientation and basic training to staff about use of company provided technology.
- Demonstrate professional and expeditious behavior.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
- Highschool diploma/GED
- Customer service and/or support experience preferred.
- Exhibit excellent communication (written and verbal), organization, and time management skills.
- Handle confidential information with discretion.
- Demonstrated knowledge of basic hardware and software troubleshooting of modern Windows PCs, mobile devices, and their common peripherals.
- Industry certifications and/or relative technical/educational course work a plus.
